Activity and Undo

Every task your AI does, with each change before and after, and how Undo puts things back or tells you what it can't.

On this page

Activity lists what your AI did through Delta MCP, newest first. Each line is one task. A task is a program your AI ran that changed something, or tried to. Plain reads are not tasks, so they do not appear here.

What you see

Each task is one sentence, such as “Set status to Archive on 4 pages in Notion”. Delta MCP writes it from the changes themselves. Your AI does not write it, so nothing it read elsewhere can reach you this way.

Under the sentence you see the connectors, the app that asked and the time. A task can also carry a state:

  • Waiting for you: a card waits for your answer. See Modes.
  • Couldn’t finish: it stopped on an error, and part of it may have been made. Pick it to see which.
  • Refused: you refused it on the card, or the connector is read only.
  • Undone: you put it back.
  • a shortcut, no AI: you ran a shortcut yourself.

Pick a task to see each change, before and after. When Delta MCP read the result back, the task says Checked after the change. Use the search at the top to find a task by sentence, connector, name or object.

Activity refreshes by itself while it is open, and shows the 300 newest tasks. An older one still opens from an object’s History.

Undo a task

  1. Pick the task in Activity.
  2. Click Undo.
  3. Read the sheet, which says what Undo will do before it does it.
  4. Click Undo again.

The sheet can have up to four lines:

  • changes put back, then checked;
  • new items deleted, with anything added to them since;
  • deleted items that come back as new copies, with new names;
  • actions that can’t be undone.

It always ends with: anything someone changed since is left as it is.

A task already undone, or with nothing to put back, has no Undo button.

Some actions cannot be undone, such as a message already sent or money already gone. A deleted item may come back only as a new copy, with a new name. Delta MCP tells you which before you click, and again after.

If part of an undo fails, the screen says what is left to do. When your AI asks for an undo, Delta MCP sends a notification if it did not put everything back.

Undo is a change like any other. Your click approves putting objects back. If it must delete what the task created, the connector’s mode decides. When that mode asks, there is no sheet: the card opens at once and says everything the undo does.

Do again, or keep it

  • Do again runs the same task once more, even if you undid it. Your click approves its ordinary changes. Deleting or sending still follows the connector’s mode. It says Done again when it worked.
  • Make a shortcut turns the task into a shortcut, so you can run it later with or without your AI.

The history of one object

Next to a changed object, click History. You see every task that changed it through Delta MCP, newest first. Pick one to open it in Activity. Only changes that went through Delta MCP are known.

Keep or export your history

Everything stays on your computer. Open Settings, then click Export everything next to Your history. You get one readable file with your tasks and the journal behind them. Secrets are hidden.

The journal only grows. Each line is chained to the one before, so a removed or edited line shows. See Security.

From a terminal you can read the history and undo a task: see History and undo.
