Your data stays on your computer.
Delta MCP runs on your computer and talks to your MCP servers directly. Your connectors, tasks, history and shortcuts stay there. Below is everything that leaves, and everything that never does.
Updated
What leaves your computer
The complete list. If it isn’t here, Delta MCP doesn’t send it.
One anonymous number a day, unless you turn it off
Your tokens saved that day, rounded down to the nearest thousand, with the method’s name and a random id: no names, no tasks, no tool results, no app version. Asked once at first launch, checked by default, off in Settings in one click. Nothing is sent until the public counter opens.
A check for new versions
Every 6 hours, Delta MCP asks GitHub whether a new version exists. It sends nothing about you.
Your email, if you make an account
The account is optional; Delta MCP works the same without one. If you make one, it holds your email and your support plan.
A card payment, if you support Delta MCP
Handled by Stripe, in your browser. Delta MCP never sees your card.
What never leaves
Your conversations
What you ask your AI stays between you and your AI app.
Your servers’ data
Tickets, pages, files and results go from your servers to your AI, never to us.
Your keys and passwords
Never shown in clear, even when a service returns them or your AI keeps them in a variable.
Your history
Activity, the journal and your shortcuts live in a folder on your computer.
Money that leaves asks you first
Your AI changes things on its own, and it all shows in Activity. Paying, buying, refunding, transferring, trading and spending allowances are different: Delta MCP shows a card, and only you can approve it, with Touch ID, your watch or your password.
That rule is on by default, and your AI can never loosen it. Money coming in, like charging a customer, passes on its own.
Outside macOS, the card is a page in your browser for now. It is weaker, and it says so.
Everything is recorded
Each task your AI does through Delta MCP lands in Activity, with every change before and after, and what it takes to undo it. Behind it, a journal only ever grows, and each line is chained to the one before: a removed or edited line shows.
Some actions can’t be undone, like a message already sent or money already gone. Delta MCP tells you which, before and after.
// the journal: one line per change, each chained to the one before { "task": "d_7f3a", "server": "linear", "call": "update_issue", "before": { "status": "In review" }, "after": { "status": "Done" }, "undo": "update_issue", "prev": "9c1e…", "hash": "4b02…" }
You stay in charge
You choose how much it does alone
Per connector: change on its own (suggested), ask before deleting or sending, ask before every change, or read only.
Your settings are protected
A change made outside the app that gives your AI more rights waits for you before it applies.
Shortcuts from others ask first
A shortcut from a colleague or a project asks before each change until you trust it, and that trust holds for its exact version only.
Everything goes back in one click
Put everything back returns each connector to your AI apps exactly as it was. Delta MCP keeps a copy of every file it changed.
What Delta MCP does not protect against
Delta MCP protects you from your AI’s mistakes. It is not a wall against an AI set on going around it: your AI acts with your rights, and could add a server back directly. When your AI can see a server both through Delta MCP and directly, the app tells you.
Check it yourself
Every change is in Activity, before and after, and the journal behind it is a plain file in a folder on your computer. Settings, then Export everything, saves your history as one readable file. To report a problem, write to us privately at contact@mcpdelta.com.
